Millie has been baking since she was big enough to lift a whisk and crack an egg. As she grew up, all she ever wanted to do was to create amazing edible treats that people would fall in love with. Training as a professional chef at the Leiths Cookery School in London, Millie went on to perfect her skills as a Pastry Chef working throughout London, Australia and Cheshire, before taking the leap into entrepreneurial life and setting up Buzzy Bee Bakery in June 2018.
The next stage was for Millie to make her mark at the Artisan Markets. Millie’s success with her loyal customers grew with people travelling far and wide just to sample her brookies, cookies, brownies and donuts. Her viral social media posts, including videos seen on Love Food with over 430,000 amount of views, drew in customers from all over the UK.
Queues were getting longer, markets were selling out faster and Millie’s output was at a maximum - it was now time to bring in some help. In 2019, Millie’s sister Lydia joined the business, bringing her background of Sales and Marketing. The extra pair of hands has allowed Buzzy Bee Bakery to not only create new recipes, but also to focus on the next chapter, as the sisters plan on opening their own bakery and continue to inspire customers taste buds.
